  • Cleans leather and nourishes more deeply than wax or lanolin cream
  • No colour pigment for use on all your leather (including bags, watch straps, etc)

Saphir’s Medaille d’Or Renovateur is a pot full to the brim of goodness for leather. Now and then one’s shoes will need more than a top-up polish – after a downpour perhaps, or simply when the build up of daily grime becomes noticeable. Rub a little renovateur cream in, leave to dry, and polish as normal.

How to use Saphir renovateur cream

Wrap a Selvyt cloth around your finger, dip into the renovateur cream to get a little product, then massage into the leather in a circular motion. When the cream first goes on, it will look shiny and wet; massage it around the shoe until it turns matt. It is normal for the cloth to pick up colour from the shoe in this process; it’s just the old polish and dirt being cleaned up. Allow the cream to sink into the leather for at least 30 minutes, but the longer the better. Then briskly buff off anything left on the surface to leave a nourished shoe ready for coloured shoe cream and wax polish.

The renovateur from Saphir is a really great product and little bit goes a long way. Using too much not only wastes the cream but – particularly on pale leathers – can leather a wet mark, which takes time to dry out. Less is more with this stuff – it’s too good to waste!
